Savvy Games Group announces three partnerships with the Ministry of Education and key education partners
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 9 February 2026: Savvy Games Group (“Savvy”) has signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Ministry of Education and key educational institutions in Saudi Arabia to promote and embed game development and esports across the secondary and tertiary education frameworks in country.
Savvy will be working with the Ministry of Education on incorporating game development into education curricula in coordination with the National Curriculum Center, obtaining formal accreditation for the Savvy Academy, embedding games into the e-learning platform Madrasati, and supporting talent development through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program and the Waed Track for scholarships, training programs, and entrepreneurship support.
As part of the MoU with the Ministry of Education, Savvy will also be supporting the nationwide ‘Play to Learn’ game development competition for high school students, designed to spark student interest in developing games and raise awareness on career pathways in the games industry. This competition is already underway, and has seen more than 700,000 students participate from high schools across the Kingdom, with approximately 155,000 game concepts developed and submitted.
Savvy has also entered a partnership with the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, which will focus on upskilling teachers, designing accredited training pathways in games-related fields, and organizing workshops, forums, and events centered on innovative games-based learning and teaching methods.
In addition, Savvy is going to be collaborating with Tatweer Educational Services, a national leader in educational systems and platforms. This partnership will be aimed at incorporating games-based and simulation technologies into the development of interactive educational content, digital learning solutions, and specialized educational content.
Savvy’s collaborations with the Ministry of Education, the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, and Tatweer Educational Services are aligned with the Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Gaming and Esports Strategy objectives to build a stronger pipeline of future talent in games and esports.
